Do I have dry or wet rot?
Wet rot shares some similarities to dry rot, in that it is a fungus based affliction which affects the timber in your property. The main difference is in severity and conditions. Wet rot tends to appear in much damper conditions (50% moisture or above), and because of it tends to be less prolific, it is sometimes seen as the lesser of the two. But don’t be mistaken, wet rot can still cause significant damage if left untreated.
At Probuild Contracts Preservation, we provide comprehensive end-to-end services designed to identify, remedy and prevent wet rot in your home or workplace.
Based in Edinburgh, we cover Glasgow, Fife, Dundee and everywhere in between.
We offer free initial assessments
It may not be obvious what is causing your timber problems, which is why Probuild Contracts Preservation provides free initial surveys to assess the condition of your timber, and find out what’s really going on.

After this, we’ll report back on our findings, and recommend the correct course of timber treatment to stop the problem and prevent it from coming back.
